Mode7 - Still in Progress

Ok, this album is still in the works, but just so I have SOME bit of a sample for it, here is a preview from the upcoming album. The song is called A Timeline Eliminated and it is a remix of The Dead Sea/Ruined Tower from Chrono Cross (although there are a few Chrono Trigger tunes mixed in there as well). Click on the link below to download the song. Enjoy!

Super Mech (Working Title) Original Soundtrack - Still in Progress

This is a soundtrack I'm working on for Chase Houston Games. Little information can be revealed on the game at this point except that the game involves Mechs and the soundtrack has hip hop influences. Here is a demo song for a level. This is not a final version as the real version will be made entirely with open-source software (as will the game itself and everythng involved with it). Click on the link below to download the song. Enjoy!

Ender's Game Game (Working Title) Original Soundtrack - Still in Progress

This is a game that currently has a 2 man crew: Me and Geoffio. The entire game is made to be a ridiculous NES game. Here is a preview track of the graveyard stage. Depending on how we build it, the game's soundtrack might actually use nsf (nintendo sound format) which would make the chiptune instruments sound different than they do now. Either way, this isnt a final song. Click on the link below to download the song. Enjoy!

Some Assembly Required - 2004
Some Assembly Required - Main Finger

Download the whole album in one easy-to-swallow zip file: Main_Finger_-_Some_Assembly_Required.zip

Some Assembly Required introduces some new things to the mix. Namely, my new drum machine and my keyboard stylings. A nice mix of mellow and fast-paced tracks. Click on the links below to download individual songs from the album.

  1. Stroll [ 2.67meg - 2:55 ] - Ah, the intro track. This one has a goofy little intro with my voice, then moves onto much better things. My favorite part about this song is the beat. The beat is just so catchy that its easy to fall in love with. Overall a pretty simple original, but very groovin' and light-hearted.
  2. Friendly Farce (originally by Geoffio) [ 3.13meg 3:25 ] - I had just heard Geoffio's latest album and was inspired by some of the more melow tunes on it. I just had to remix this one. It's a nice kinda trippy, pretty mellow, trance song. I put some nice soothing bongos in there to give it a nice mood to it. The main instrument that plays right from the start has a very uniqe sound to it. Its very subdued which works very well for the song.
  3. Grand Prix (originally from F-Zero) [ 2.27meg 2:28 ] - This is startes out with a nice jazzy vibe rendition of the"silence" song and then quickly shifts to a fast-paced, hard hitting version of the theme from "whiteland." My favorite part is the distorted bass instrument, but I love the synth leads too. Kinda short 'n' sweet.
  4. On the Wall (originally by October Bean) [ 3.55meg 3:53 ] - Big thanks to October Bean for giving me the isolated vocal and guitar tracks for this one. This turned out quite well. A trance remix of their alternative rock song. This was the first song I made on this album and it's still one of my favorites. Vocals are by Drew Scott of October Bean.
  5. Land of the Pure (originally from Secret of Mana) [ 3.85meg 4:12 ] - My pride and joy on this album. I put a lot of work into this one. The pureland theme is totally redone, played by me on the keyboard, drums a combination of my drum machine and software. I actually just started jamming on the piano for the end part of the song, trying to spice things up a bit. Its got a very "cool" mellow mood to it. If you download just 1 song on this album, I'd suggest this one.
  6. Disco Link Returns (originally from The Legend of Zelda) [ 2.92meg 3:12 ] - Remember Disco Link from the "FACE!" album? Well this is a little "version 2." It's a lot less discoey and a lot more technoey actually. This one is not a medley however, just a rendition of the main theme. Three different layers of drum tracks on some parts of this song give the beat a nice complexity. The first half is pretty straightforward, then things shift energy a bit and get a little more interesting. It's quite a bit different from its predecessor.
  7. Mad About Me (Old Tyme Mix) (originally from Star Wars) [ 600kb 0:38 ] - Now here's something trippy. Tons and tons of effects done to the Cantina song making it sound very "old-timey" like its on a record... but with an industrial beat and a sweeping EQ?! You have to hear this one to believe it.
  8. Weasel Sniper (featuring Captain Avenger) [ 2.80meg 3:03 ] - This one's a collabrative project by me and my buddy Blake Nelson. He's the one weilding his crazy guitar skillz (3 overlayed tracks worth). It's some fast-paced mayhem. The drums were kind of inspired by Prodigy's first album, "Experience." Very fast, very crazy and such.
  9. I Feel Loved (originally by Depeche Mode) [ 4.20meg 4:35 ] - I recently got very into Depeche Mode and felt the need to remix one of their songs. This sounds a lot different from the original. It has a much "darker" mood to it. I like a lot of the different synth instruments going on in this song... and there are quite a lot.
  10. Funky Woods (originally from Zelda: A Link to the Past) [ 2.04meg 2:13 ] - I found the perfect voice clip to start the song out with. A clip of some Zintrodi spies from the old cartoon, Robotech, thinking disco is some sort of torture used by humans... priceless. Anyway on to the song. It has a very discoey beat to it and a pretty mellow sound. The strings and flutes fit the atmosphere very well for the forest theme. Meh, that's about it.
  11. Kraid's Nest (originally from Metroid) [ 2.48meg 2:43 ] - This was my very first attempt as far as playing keyboard. All instruments in the song are from the keyboard and the drums were all done on my drum machine. The composition was done with software. It's fairly simple. Instruments consisted of a sythn lead, bass, and violin.
  12. Pure Red (originally from F-Zero) [ 2.02meg 2:12 ] - Well I have a confession. This WAS actually a B-side from the last album originally that i kinda reworked and released. The Red Canyon theme from F-Zero with a nice constand beat and some distorted riffs.
  13. Face Down (Heavy Mix) [ 2.34meg 2:33 ] - This was one of my originals from the "FACE!!" album. This version is very different however. It still contains that dark atmosphere that the original had, but it's much more "hard-hitting." Maybe even a little darker than the last one. And very bassy by the way... just a warning ;)

Deathbot Saves the Day - 2003
Deathbot Saves the Day - Main Finger

Download the whole album in one easy-to-swallow zip file: Main_Finger_-_Deathbot_Saves_the_Day.zip

DeathBot Saves the Day has a good variety of originals and videogame remixes, and even a remix of a previous Main Finger remix! Click on the links below to download individual songs from the album.

  1. Message from Afar [ 2.66meg 2:54 ] - For this song I recorded my own voice and lowered and distorted it so i could sample it. Yeah, I was feelin' pretty crazy. This is a really simple song, not much to it, but kinda catchy. The kinda song aliens would play to you as they're forcing a mandatory dance party.
  2. A Noble Sacrifice (Low BPM Mix) (originally from Megaman X) [ 3.2meg 3:30 ] - To those of you who remember the really old version from "The w00+ Album" here's a version that's exatcly 1.4 bagillion times better. The old version was my most downloaded song for many months, even after other albums were released after it, so here's to you guys!
  3. Palace Trance (originally from Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link) [ 2.79meg 3:03 ] - This is one of the first songs I made on the album, and it's also one of my favorites. Sure, Zelda 2 may not have been the best game to actually play (i mean it's a side scrolling zelda game, c'mon!), but it sure did have sweeeet sweet music. I believe this remix gives Zelda 2 a way of showing off the one thing it did right... the tunes.
--EDIT!!-- Going back, I actually enjoy Zelda 2 to a certain extent. Not my favorite Zelda, but not a bad game really.
  4. Plumbers Underground (originally from Super Mario Brothers) [ 1.45meg 1:35 ] - This song is amazingly simple, its basically drums and bass. However, people love it because the simplicity just works so well in this song. That's all the real song ever had anyway. Any other instruments added would just bog the real stuff down. This is a short, but sweet catchy track that everyone loves.
  5. Jinko No Theme [ 2.24meg 2:27 ] - First of all, let me explain what "Jinko No" is. Jinko No is my brother's webcomic. It's changed artists quite a few times, but usually that's been for the better. The comic can be found at http://jinkono.com and is definitely worth checking out. So anyway, my brother came to me one day and said "Dude, you should make a theme song for my comic." And well...... 9 months later... or a couple days... i can't remember. but anyway.... long story short, I finished the song.
--EDIT!!-- That webcomic is long gone, but he now runs a few comics at Randompiratecomics.net
  6. Terra (originally from Final Fantasy 6) [ 2.1meg 2:17 ] - This is the song on the world map of FF6 (or FF3 by the American numbering system). It starts out with the military snare shuffle, comes in later with some fast drums, and finishes off with some nicely equalized slow drums. All in all, a nice satisfying blend.
  7. Last Chance to Dance [ 2.83meg 3:05 ] - This is a nice little original. I used some wasp instruments in this one as well as an old forgotten drumbeat I had made long ago. That happens sometimes. Anyway, it's a nice, fast dance track.
  8. Mad About Me (The Cantina Band's DJ Mix) (originally from Star Wars) [ 2.98meg 3:15 ] - This is a fairly simple remix. Got some nice heavy drums to the 'ol Star Wars Cantina song known as "Mad About Me." Overall, it's pretty straight-forward, but there's a pretty crazy part somewhere near the middle where I take the well known clip and slice it up whilst adding some crazy instruments.
  9. Viral (originally from Megaman X) [ 2.11meg 2:18 ] - This is one of the weirdest Megaman songs ever. It's from the third Sigma-stage on the original Megaman X. I always thought this tune was just really really weird, then all of the sudden I totally fell in love with the bass-line and had an overwhelming desire to remix it. Although the other instruments don't, the main drums actually sound more like real rock drums than techno drums.
  10. Bad Blood (originally by Ministry) [ 3.29meg 3:36 ] - An online friend by the name of Liriel requested I do a remix of this song for a theme to her comic entitled Bad Blood, by the way it can be found here: BadBloodComic.com Anyway, the composition is drastically changed from the original. Also, the original had little to no drums in it, strangely enough for being a harder rock type song. So all drums in the song are added by me, as well as lots of crazy effects and what not.
  11. Return (originally from Super Metroid) [ 3.20meg 3:30 ] - This is a fast paced medley of 2 different songs. One is the slower Brinstar song and the other is the very memorable song in Norfair. This one is pretty crazy. Instruments are all over the place!
  12. Anyone Anyone (originally by Dashboard Confessional) [ 2.27meg 2:29 ] - At first, this was just a little experiment in trying out a more electronica style, but then I ended up finishing it and putting it on the album. It's kind of forshadowing a project me and my brother are working on.
--EDIT!!-- That project only ever birthed one song of which I don't really like... oh well.
  13. Shiro (originally from Wolf's Rain) [ 2.69meg 2:56 ] - Wolf's Rain is an anime from the creators of Cowboy Beebop. It's really weird, but it's really cool, and had a killer soundtrack.... well besides the main theme which was just funny sounding. This remix was a CoolEdit nightmare to make since there were so many parts where the strings would change tempo on me and fitting drums to certain parts grew difficult. After a slow part the strings went back to a fast part, but it wasn't QUITE the same tempo and so I had to remedy that and so on...

Keg Monster Original Soundtrack - 2003
Keg Monster - Main Finger

This project got cancelled after only one song was completed. It was a first person shooter starring a monster made of kegs. Geoffio was the game designer. The game was actually coming along nicely enough, but the computer went "up in smoke" so to speak and there were no backups. Luckily, I still had the one track I wrote for the snow level on my own computer. Pretty ambient. Click on the link below to download the song. Enjoy!

FACE!! - 2002
FACE!! - Main Finger

Download the whole album in one easy-to-swallow zip file: Main_Finger_-_FACE.zip

FACE!! is composed of both remixes and originals. It's the first album where there aren't any songs that I don't quite feel right about. I like them all! Click on the links below to download individual songs from the album.
--EDIT!!-- I don't really like all the songs on here anymore.

  1. Parasite (originally from Metroid) [ 2.11meg 2:18 ] - Ooooooooh, this one is really sweet. It's a really fast paced remix of the Metroid theme. It's got really nice fast drums and some slow ones, too. I used some instruments that almost kind of sound like they're from the NES, but NOT! It gives it a really cool effect. You should definitely download this one!
  2. Face Down [ 2.25meg 2:28 ] - Here's a sweet original song I made. It's pretty simple, but very powerful. The drums are incredibly bassy and have a really cool beat. The tune is pretty simple, but it works. The whole song has kind of a dark feel to it. I like it a lot^_^
  3. Disco Link (originally from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past) [ 4.90meg 5:21 ] - Whenever I ask people what their favorite song on the album is, they always tell me it's this one. This is a medley of a couple different Zelda songs in the style of Disco. It's really catchy and addictive! It's got this awesome bass line that's all like wowowowowowowowowowa! I guess you'd just have to hear it so............ download it!
  4. A New Beginning (originally by Good Charlotte) [ 2.15meg 2:21 ] - On the intro track of the newest Good Charlotte album (newest as of February 2003), there's this intro track with cool non-punk sounding stuff, then the guitars come in and it sounds like punk. Well, I took the before part and made it into techno instead of punk. It's pretty cool! Nice strings and vibey sounding things. My brother, Jonah, requested me to make this song.
  5. FACE!! [ 1.77meg 1:56 ] - Ah, here it is: the TITLE TRACK! This one is based on an inside joke. You see, me and all my friends are all obsessed with the word "FACE!" and the sense of power you get when you say it. So why not make a song out of it? I made it kind of sound like one of those bass testing songs people get to test out their new stereos. Pretty cheezy, but it was fun to make. And my friend, Milo, is the guy saying "FACE!" although I lowered his voice so it doesn't really sound like him anymore.
  6. Hurricane Blitz (originally from Megaman 2) [ 1.95meg 2:08 ] - You can't make an Airman's theme remix without making it really, really ridiculously fast! It's just not possible! >_< That being said, this song has some sweet breakbeat style drums and the tune is done in some cool strings. It's pretty short and to the point. And just when you think it ended... WHOA! There's an extra little slow part.
  7. The Singing Mountain (originally from Chrono Trigger) [ 2.39meg 2:36 ] - This one starts with strings, then comes a thunderstorm with breakbeat action and finally... trance! Yeah, it's pretty cool. I've always loved this tune and I often find myself whistling it in my Art class.
  8. Anxious Heart (originally from Final Fantasy 7) [ 3.21meg 3:30 ] - I like the drums in this one a lot! It's a bit slower than some of the other songs, but it's one of my favorites. And it's got an awesome tune done in an awesome sounding instrument. You should download it cuz it's sweet-tastic!
  9. Deception [ 4.64meg 5:04 ] - This is an original trance song I made. It's very cool. I made almost all of it in one sitting. All the tunes just kind of came to me at once. It started out as a remix of Sick of it All by Finger 11 (don't ask), but as I got into it it sounded absolutely NOTHING like that song in any way, shape or form and it somehow turned into a cool trance song... freaky!
  10. Grudge Match [ 4.30meg 4:42 ] - Here's another original song. It started out as a loop that I was making for Milo. He had asked me to make some short loops to use for background music on his site. I ended up liking it so much that I made a full blown song from it. It's really cool. And maybe someday you might hear a loop from it playing on Nuclear Tuxedo.
--EDIT!!-- Nuclear Tuxedo isn't around anymore
  11. Flute Skootin' Boogie (originally from Mappy) [ 638kb 0:40 ] - This one requires some explaining... You see, long ago when me and Jonah rented Mappy for our NES back in the day, that is when our NES started have some problems. So after that every time our NES would mess up we'd shout something at it like, "DARN YOU MAPPY!!" So I couldn't resist making a tribute to Mappy and showing it to Jonah.
--EDIT!!-- In addition to being a joke it is loud and abnoxious.
  12. Newborn (originally by Muse) [ 4.39meg 4:48 ] - This is the only song on the album with actual singing. I get mixed reviews on this one. Some people like it, some people don't. No wait, everybody likes it except Milo. ^_^ Oh well. It's pretty cool. It changes a lot after the first half, but it's all good.
  13. Reoccuring Dreams (originally from Final Fantasy 7) [ 2.87meg 3:08 ] - I like this one a lot! It's a trance remix of Cid's theme. The first part with strings is all original, the only part that's the tune of the actual song is at about 2:12. The great thing is how well my tune fits with the real tune so you feel like the part before Cid's theme should just be in there anyway. Good stuff! ^_^
